Tapes Fine Arts, Inc. has been doing summer musicals since 1994. Musicals performed include: The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Once Upon A Mattress, Meet Me In St. Louis, The Little Mermaid, Babes in Arms, The Sound of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, Shrek the Musical, South Pacific, Bye Bye Birdie, Little Women, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Performing in a 60-seat black-box theatre/auditorium, Tapes puts on two musicals each summer: a kids' musical (ages 7-16) in June and an adults' musical (ages 10+) in July.
As long as they are able to attend the required rehearsals and performances,
EVERYONE WHO AUDITIONS GETS A PART IN THE MUSICALS.
Through these summer musical programs, students are able to gain experience in musical theatre and develop long-lasting friendships with students from all over Oklahoma with a similar interest. Directors and counselors work one-on-one with students in the musicals to help them understand character development and proper technique.
