"If you like to jitterbug, swing or twitter, come listen and dance to the music of the Doo Woppa Doos, and don't forget your dancing shoes, or you'll be 'Blue.'"
- Judy Miron, Quota International
The Doo Woppa Doos (“Doo Wopps” for short) are professional female singers based out of Tapes Fine Arts. The members of the Doo Wopps were originally students of Jean Sears. The singing group was formed to learn to sing harmony parts in music and, in turn, use that gift to perform for nursing homes and in other outreach opportunities.
The Doo Wopps perform two to four times a month, and accept whatever payment the host can afford. The singers serve as ambassadors of Tapes Fine Arts by sharing with their audiences what Tapes is all about. The Doo Woppa Doos have been performing across the United States since 1996.
